Treatments
There is no specific treatment to get rid of the measles virus if you already have it. But there is ways to make the symptoms go down. You can take fever reducers like Tylenol, Advil, or Aleve. Children that have measles shoud not take any form of aspirin. They will help lower the higher fever. If other bacterial infections develop you can take antibiotics. When you got to the doctor they will be the one to prescribe the antibiotics. Also, people that have low Vitamin A are more likely to have a worse form of the measles. Vitamin A can lesson the severity of measles.
Preventions
If you are at a greaater risk of getting the measles, be sure to get the measles vaccine. The measles vaccine is called the MMR Vaccine. That stands for measles mumps, and rubella vaccine. Five percent of people who got the first dose of the vaccine still aren't immune to it. So people are recommmended to take a second dose of the vaccine as a precaution.
